DATA DELETION

Last updated: 6 September 2026

How to request deletion

Email support@caisystems.dev with the subject line “Vector data deletion request”. You can also use the CAI Systems contact page.

We acknowledge requests and tell you what was removed when it is done.

1What your request should include

  • Which platform the account is on — YouTube, Instagram, Facebook or TikTok.
  • The account or Page it concerns: the handle, username or Page name is enough to identify it.
  • Whether you want everything deleted, or only a specific part — for example the analytics but not the record that a video was published.
  • An email address we can reply to.

You do not need to include any password, token or other secret, and you should not send one. We will never ask you for one.

2How we check it is you

We verify at a level proportionate to the request, and we do not ask for more identification than we need.

  • If you write from an email address already associated with the connection, that is normally enough.
  • Otherwise, we ask you to demonstrate control of the account — for example by sending the request from the account's registered email, or by making a temporary, easily-reversed change to the account's profile that we can observe.
  • If we cannot establish that you control the account, we will decline rather than delete another person's data on request.

3What gets removed

On a full deletion request for a connected account, we remove:

  • the stored credential for that account, and the reference to it
  • the account's identifiers and profile metadata held by Vector
  • the authorization record, including which permissions were granted
  • publication records for that account, including the platform's IDs for posts Vector submitted
  • performance analytics retrieved for that account
  • content and media held by Vector for that account, and its metadata

Operational logs are cleared on the same schedule described in the Privacy Policy. Where a log entry can be attributed to your account and is not needed for security or legal reasons, we remove it with the rest.

4What deletion does not do

It does not delete anything from the platform. A video already published to YouTube, or a post already on Instagram, Facebook or TikTok, belongs to that account on that platform. Deleting Vector’s records does not take it down. To remove the post itself, delete it in the platform, or in that account’s own tools.

It does not revoke platform access on its own. We remove the credential we hold, which stops Vector using it. Revoking the authorization at the platform is a separate action that you can take yourself, and it is the one that takes effect immediately and independently of us.

5Disconnecting, revoking, and deleting — three different things

DisconnectAsk us to stop using an account. Vector stops acting on it and the stored credential is removed. Records of what was already published remain until you ask for deletion.
Revoke at the platformRemove Vector's access in the platform's own settings — Google Account permissions, Meta app or business settings, or TikTok's connected-apps settings. Immediate, and it does not depend on us. It does not delete what we already hold.
Delete Vector-held dataThis page. Removes what Vector holds about the account. It does not remove posts from the platform, and it does not by itself revoke access.

The thorough sequence is: revoke at the platform, then ask us to delete. The first stops any further access at once; the second clears the records.

6When we may keep something

We may retain a limited amount of information where we are required to, or where it is needed to establish or defend a legal claim, to investigate abuse or a security incident, or to keep a record that a deletion request was made and honoured. We keep no more than that purpose needs, and we remove it when the purpose ends.
